Jordan Hasay Withdraws From Chicago Marathon with InjuryPublished by
Jordan Hasay is Out and Florence Kiplagat is In for 2018 Chicago MarathonBy Adam Kopet Chris Chavez reports Jordan Hasay has withdrawn from the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Oct. 7 with injury.
Hasay previously withdrew from last weekend's Copenhagen Half Marathon with no explanation given as to the reason. Galen Rupp also withdrew from the race, however, other Nike Oregon Project runners Sifan Hassan and Yomif Kejelcha raced. Hassan won the women's race in a European record 1:05:15. Kejelcha finished fourth in the men's race. In Hasay's place in the elite women's field will be two-time Chicago Marathon winner Florence Kiplagat of Kenya. |
