A Fit Jordan Hasay Looking for Fast Performance in Chicago MarathonPublished by
Jordan Hasay Wants to Improve on Her Record Setting Debut Marathon in ChicagoBy Adam Kopet According to Nick Zaccardi of NBC Sports, Jordan Hasay is confident going into the Bank of American Chicago Marathon. Chicago will be Hasay's second marathon. She set the American debut record in Boston earlier this year when she ran 2:23:00 for third place. Now a more confident and fitter Hasay will tackle the streets of Chicago. A similar effort to Boston would likely give Hasay a personal best, based on the course profile between the two marathons. Chicago is flat while Boston is known for its hills. According to Dale Bowman of the Chicago Sun Times, Hasay will have extra energy sent her way on Sunday during the race. Joan Benoit Samuelson had entered the race to become the first woman over 60-years old to run under three hours for the marathon, but injuries have forced her to withdraw. The bonus for Hasay is that Samuelson is sending all her energy to the 26-year old, something Hasay appreciates and hopes to use to her advantage in Chicago. More news |
